Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Motor Equipment Operator and take charge of operating and maintaining a wide range of construction and material handling equipment to support infrastructure projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operations on construction sites. You will be instrumental in maintaining project timelines, adhering to safety standards, and contributing to the successful completion of vital construction, repair, and maintenance activities. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction equipment including, loaders, and dump trucks to perform road maintenance, material handling, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Perform snow and ice removal operations with truck, plow, wing, and salt spreader. Follow all equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Assist with site setup by preparing the work area, positioning machinery accurately, and coordinating with other crew members for smooth operations. Perform repairs using hand tools and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly. Adhere to all safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations. Requirements Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, water trucks, or similar heavy equipment on construction sites. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving with ability to pass drug test. Knowledge of hydraulics, hydraulics systems maintenance, and general mechanical principles related to heavy machinery. Ability to operate material handling equipment safely. Strong understanding of equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations applicable to construction environments. Hands-on experience with construction site activities including earthmoving, grading, excavation, and site preparation. Familiarity with construction machinery maintenance routines and troubleshooting mechanical issues efficiently. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards. Ability to perform other assigned duties. Join us in building the future!
