Job Description Receives, records, verifies, moves and issues material to jobs, departments, storage areas, warehouse transfers and customer orders. Operates lift trucks and overhead cranes to move materials and equipment throughout the shop. Performs various system transactions via computer input. Carries out stock duties in receiving, at the saw and within the storeroom that correspond with other operations going on within the factory. Stocks shelves, prepares kits, issues materials, parts, tools and fixtures. Performs physical count and related inventory duties. Expedites movement of parts and materials, including movement by hand, cart, lift truck, crane or tow motor as necessary, to their next destination and/or from their last location. Performs a variety of clerical and other tasks that are not always well defined such as; gather equipment specifications, quote maintenance parts, pick up parts within the city within reasonable distance, assists maintenance department employees as well as others, etc.
