Key Responsibilities:
Visually inspect all inbound loads, including tractor-trailer and roll-off vehicles. Use the provided yard vehicle to safely navigate all areas of the yard. Photograph any loads containing nonconforming material and send pictures to the office for review. Communicate with Yard Operators and Scale House over the two-way radio regarding any deductions being applied. Pick up nonferrous metals from the ferrous yard. Operate and maintain various pieces of heavy equipment, including but not limited to front-end loaders, skid steers, and forklifts. Perform daily inspections on all equipment and promptly report deficiencies to the maintenance department. Process and drain end-of-life vehicles.
What We Expect:
Previous experience operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, and forklifts is preferred. Ability to work in outdoor environments as needed. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members over the radio and in person. A commitment to workplace safety and equipment maintenance. Why Join Us?
