Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery, including road graders, gravel rollers, front loaders, excavators, cdl b trucks with snow plows and any other equipment. This role is essential for ensuring efficient operations on our job sites, contributing to the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as cdl class b dump trucks, plow trucks, road graders, excavators, and front loaders to perform tasks including digging, lifting, and transporting materials. Also the use of hand tools such as shovels, hand tampers, chainsaws and any other various tools and any other responsibilities of a road highway crew. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively and efficiently. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery in various conditions. Maintain records of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or repairs needed. Assist in the training of new operators on equipment operation and safety practices. Requirements Experience in heavy equipment operation, including but not limited to bulldozers, front loaders, trucks, tractors, excavators, graders, and any other construction equipment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment. Valid commercial driving license. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others on the job site. Requires availability of any hours needed during winter for weather cleanup of town roads. Winter months overtime is mandatory (Ice, Snow, Sleet, Rain, ect.) !

$21.92 - $25.88 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
