Job Description
Job Summary Renhill is partnering with a company in Delta seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Overhead Crane Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating overhead cranes and other heavy equipment to move, load, and unload materials across a manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will ensure efficient materials handling, precise rigging, and smooth logistics operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities Operate overhead cranes with precision to lift, move, and position heavy loads in accordance with safety protocols and project requirements Conduct routine inspections of cranes and lifting equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards Rig materials securely using appropriate rigging techniques before lifting or moving loads Handle materials efficiently within construction sites, warehouses, or shipping & receiving areas, including loading and unloading trucks with forklifts or boom trucks Assist with the operation of other heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and boom trucks as needed Follow all safety procedures during crane operation and materials handling to prevent accidents or injuries Maintain detailed logs of crane usage, inspections, maintenance activities, and material movements for accountability and compliance Qualifications Proven experience operating overhead cranes in construction or warehouse environments Strong mechanical knowledge of crane systems, rigging techniques, and heavy equipment operation Valid certifications for crane operation; additional certifications in forklift, boom truck, backhoe, or excavator operation are a plus Hands-on experience with materials handling, shipping & receiving processes, and warehouse management Ability to read technical manuals and safety instructions clearly and accurately Prior construction site experience is highly desirable; familiarity with construction safety standards is essential Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors Join us if you're eager to bring your expertise in heavy equipment operation into a fast-paced environment where safety is paramount.
