Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. What You'll Be Doing Safely operate yard loaders and other mobile equipment to move, load, and stockpile materials. Perform pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks to ensure safe, reliable performance. Load customer trucks and maintain accurate material handling practices. Monitor material inventory levels and maintain organized stockpile areas. Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures while supporting plant production goals. What Are We Looking For Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in an industrial, construction, mining, or related environment. Strong commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and operational excellence. Ability to perform equipment inspections, identify issues, and communicate maintenance needs. Dependable work ethic with the capability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production demands. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Must be eligible to work in the United States and comply with all company policies and safety requirements. Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. Physical Demands Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to safely enter, operate, and exit heavy mobile equipment multiple times per shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment within established safety guidelines. Ability to maintain situational awareness and respond effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in varying outdoor and industrial conditions.
