In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating snow plowing and removal equipment to ensure clear, accessible pathways during winter storms. Your expertise in groundskeeping and equipment operation will help keep properties safe and functional, even in challenging weather conditions. This paid position offers an energetic environment where your skills in outdoor work and machinery operation will make a real difference in community safety and property maintenance. Duties Operate snow plows, loaders other equipment to efficiently clear snow from Roadways, Bridges and ON/Off ramps for ODOT contracts Conduct pre-operation inspections of machinery to ensure safety and proper functioning Follow established safety protocols during all snow removal activities to prevent accidents or injuries Coordinate with team members to prioritize high-traffic areas for prompt snow clearance Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including fueling, cleaning, and minor repairs using hand tools and power tools Maintain accurate logs of work completed and report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly Requirements No Experience Necessary - we will train! work experience, especially in snow removal roles is a bonus Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot company vehicles and equipment Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while operating heavy machinery and handling outdoor tools Strong physical stamina to perform manual tasks in cold weather conditions for extended periods Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating large vehicles like snow plows or similar equipment is preferred Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to any challenges Join us if you're motivated by keeping communities safe during winter storms!
