You will primarily operate bulldozers on our active trash deck. This position requires a thick skin for working directly with solid waste and a strong commitment to safety. If you are a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves overtime hours, and braves all weather conditions, we want to hear from you.
Duties and Responsibilities Operate Heavy Machinery:
Safely maneuver dozers to push, spread, pile, and load solid waste material on the trash deck.
Maintain Deck Efficiency:
Grade and compact trash efficiently to maximize space and keep operations moving smoothly.
Perform Pre-Trip Inspections:
Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment (fluids, tracks, greasing) and report defects immediately. [1]
Prioritize Safety:
Strictly adhere to environmental safety regulations to maintain a accident-free zone. Collaborate with
Team:
Communicate effectively with spotters, truck drivers, and site supervisors via two-way radio to coordinate traffic and dumping. Adapt to
Conditions:
Work productively in extreme outdoor weather conditions, including intense heat, freezing cold, rain, and snow. Schedule & Overtime Expectations This is a high-hour position with excellent earning potential through built-in overtime: Monday to
Friday:
10-hour shifts
Saturday:
8-hour shift
Total:
~58 hours per week (18 hours of time-and-a-half overtime pay weekly)
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience operating dozers (experience in waste management, landfills, or demolition is highly preferred).
Environment Comfort:
Must be completely comfortable working directly with and around trash, dust, and strong odors.
Reliability:
Exceptional attendance and punctuality are non-negotiable. Our team depends on you showing up ready to work every day.
Physical Resilience:
Ability to work long shifts outdoors.
Team Mindset:
A positive, cooperative attitude with a willingness to help out where needed.
