Job Description

Rockline Civil LLC is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. If you take pride in precision work, know your way around an excavator or dozer, and want to build a career with a company that values safety and craftsmanship, we'd love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Operate heavy equipment — excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders — to dig trenches, backfill excavations, grade surfaces, and load trucks. Clear land, stump, grub, and grade sites according to construction blueprints and site plans. Follow OSHA standards for sloping, shoring, and trenching to prevent cave-ins. Perform daily equipment maintenance checks, including greasing, fueling, and fluid levels. Work with precision to protect existing underground utilities. Load and unload equipment for transport between job sites. Clean equipment after use and dispose of collected scraps or waste. Pitch in with general labor and other tasks as needed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques — grading, paving, utilities, and concrete work. Hands-on experience operating and maintaining heavy construction equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. Great communication and problem-solving skills, with a team-first mindset. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across the region. OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred; First Aid/CPR certification a plus. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a safety-conscious attitude.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role works outdoors on active construction sites in all weather conditions, with appropriate PPE and safety equipment provided. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 70 lbs, and frequent movement across job sites. Occasional travel between project sites is required.
