An Operating Engineer or Heavy Equipment Operator drives and operates heavy equipment used in quarries, construction sites, landfills, refuse and recycling centers, or ports. Heavy Equipment may include, but is not limited to, bulldozers, excavators, paving equipment and pile drivers.

Finish Blade / Motor Grader Operator - We are looking for an individual that can operate a motor grader (the "blade"), attachments, and support machinery as well as understand and utilize GPS systems. This Operator must also know how to operate excavators, dozers, backhoes, skid steers, and track loaders.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Blade Hand Duties:

Finish Motor Grader Operation:
Expertly operate standard and articulated motor graders to execute high-precision finish work, including subgrade preparation, blue-top cutting, and road-base leveling. 2. 3
D Grade Control Mastery:
Independently understand and utilize GPS systems. Operate 3D GPS/UTS machine control systems (Trimble Earthworks) directly from the cab, including troubleshooting system offsets without a grade checker. 3.
Hybrid Grade Control:
Seamlessly switch between operating 3D GPS machine control and grading off traditional physical stakes, hubs, and blue-tops. 4.
High-Tolerance Precision Grading:
Consistently deliver finished surfaces to strict engineering tolerances (within +/- 0.02 to 0.04 of a foot) for concrete pads, highways, or commercial and residential developments.
General Operator Duties:
1. Trenching and grading with the appropriate equipment 2. Review, understand, and delegate from construction design 3. Ability to fill out daily work reports, timecards, and maintenance requests 4. Maintain equipment and operating standards 5. Knowledge of machine GPS technology preferred to ensure compliance with safety requirements on the job site 6. Daily collaboration with Company management prior to daily crew meetings (6:30 am) to discuss personnel, vendors, materials, tools and equipment Requirements 1. Minimum 3-5 years on blade 2. 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment 3. Experienced on a skip loader 4. Strong communication skills 5. Self-starter 6. Able/willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions 7. Must poses a Driver's license with clean driving history 8. Strong scheduling and organizational skills 9. Ability to read and decipher plans, specs, and codes 10. Working knowledge of GPS technology A pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle record, and background check will be required.
