Job Description

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - MOBILE CRUSHING
Marino Crushing & Materials Corporation is seeking a dependable, experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our mobile crushing division. This position will primarily operate an excavator to safely and efficiently load a mobile concrete crusher at job sites throughout Western Pennsylvania. Position Responsibilities Operate an excavator to load concrete and asphalt into a mobile crusher Maintain a steady, controlled feed rate without overloading or damaging the crusher Sort out oversized material, dirt, trash, wood and other contaminants before processing Remove and separate rebar and scrap metal from processed material Perform concrete preprocessing using a hydraulic hammer or other attachments when required Assist with crusher, screener and conveyor setup, operation and teardown Perform daily equipment inspections, greasing and basic preventive maintenance Monitor equipment for leaks, wear, damage or mechanical problems Maintain clean, organized and safe working areas Assist with general labor and other crew responsibilities when equipment is not operating Follow all company, job-site and OSHA safety requirements Travel to mobile crushing projects throughout Western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas Required Qualifications Experience operating excavators in production environments Ability to safely and efficiently load a mobile crusher Strong understanding of machine positioning, material flow and equipment limitations Ability to work around crushers, screeners, conveyors and other heavy equipment Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and equipment problems Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to work extended hours when required by project schedules Must pass a pre-employment drug test Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Previous concrete or asphalt crushing experience Experience using hydraulic hammers, pulverizers, processors or magnets Experience operating loaders, skid steers, dozers or screening plants Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment-maintenance experience CDL preferred but not required What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who understands that loading a crusher is production work—not simply moving material. The right operator must be smooth, alert and consistent while protecting the equipment and keeping material flowing. This person must be willing to work as part of the crew, take care of the equipment and help wherever needed. Compensation Competitive pay based on experience and ability Full-time position Opportunities for additional hours and advancement as the company grows
Pay:
$27.54 - $33.16 per hour
