Job Description

We have an immediate need for an Overhead Crane Operator at our manufacturing facility. The Overhead Crane Operator will work under minimal supervision and is responsible for the rigging, loading, and unloading, as well as the safe and efficient transportation of loads to and from various machinery and transportation vehicles.
Overhead Crane Operator Responsibilities:
Operates traveling overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads such as machinery, equipment, products (primarily), and materials, using hoisting attachments such as hooks, slings, etc. Observes load hookup and determines safety of load. Manipulates crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement in a safe manner in accordance with verbal or signal instructions. Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions. May be designated as a material handler to assist with load rigging and hook-ups.
Overhead Crane Operator Qualifications:
All applicants must be US citizens. Foreign nationals and green card holders are not eligible. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Candidates must successfully complete a physical examination and physical and a hair follicle drug screen test Must be comfortable working from heights.
