Job Description

Are you looking for a place to put your skills to work to help keep America running? As an Ag & Heavy Equipment delivery driver at Walker and Walker Equipment, you will use your skills to pickup and deliver equipment of all sizes. A successful candidate should be able to assist with route planning, have excellent customer service skills, be detailed in all aspects of the job, and team oriented. Walker & Walker Equipment is seeking a Class-A CDL delivery driver to make local, heavy equipment deliveries. This is a full-time position. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday daylight.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Local pick-up and delivery of heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, and outdoor power equipment
  • Perform daily inspections of trucks and trailers
  • Perform basic daily maintenance on delivery vehicles
  • Loading and unloading of equipment
  • Properly securing loads
  • Drive class-8 rollbacks, class- 8 tractor-trailers, class-6 NON-CDL rollbacks, and flat beds
  • When not driving you will be expected help around the shop with pressure washing, cleaning, organizing, assembling equipment, and helping others where needed.
Requirements:
  • Class-A CDL with experience driving manual transmissions
  • Current DOT physical
  • Must pass DOT drug screen
  • No major driving infractions, copy of driving record will be required
  • Positive, professional attitude
  • Works well with others
  • Good attendance record
  • Must be OK with overtime in the busy season
  • Experience operating heavy equipment preferred
  • Physical ability to perform job.
Physical requirements:
The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and in all outdoor weather conditions. Must be able to load and offload various products which will include climbing, bending, reaching, squatting, pushing, pulling, and walking on various and unpredictable job site terrains. Must be able to lift 25 - 40 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally Pay offered will be commensurate with candidates' qualifications. $10.00 - $50.00 per hour
