Role:
As a Yard Hostler, you will be responsible for operating machinery and vehicles across the area and determining the proper placement of equipment and containers. This role reports to the Manager, Transportation.
Responsibilities Include:
Drive yard tractor to move trailers between doors, dock areas, and storage locations. Perform multiple trailers moves per hour, meeting Key Performance Indicators. ⁠Place chocks and pup stands during trailer docking. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations set by customers. Maintain a high level of physical fitness to navigate a fast-paced work environment. ⁠Collaborate with management to ensure efficient operations and complete tasks assigned. Use forklifts to assist with loading and unloading trucks as required. All other job duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
Shift Hours:
Wednesday to Saturday 5:00am - 3:30pm
About The Pay:
Base Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 Hourly 401(k) Profit Sharing Medical, Dental, Vision & More! Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.
About You:
1+ years of experience operating machinery and vehicles and in a warehouse environment. Able to read and write legibly, demonstrate basic math skills, and communicate effectively. Able to read and comprehend basic instructions, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures. Demonstrates good organizational and time management skills. Strong knowledge of safety standards and protocols. Valid driver's license.
