Job Description

Job description: G.A. Peak Excavating, Inc. is seeking experienced Sitework Heavy Equipment Operator(s) to support and execute general construction tasks in the Bucks, Montgomery, and Lehigh County areas. The Heavy Equipment Operator must be able to demonstrate safe operation of assigned equipment based on changing operating conditions. The Heavy Equipment Operator is expected to use his/her experience and judgment to make decisions within his/her limits of authority. This position is not site specific as there will be work needed on various jobsites and locations. •
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Operate heavy equipment or drive trucks. o Assist in the training of new or less-skilled Equipment Operators. o Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. o Drives/operates grader, excavator, loader, tractor, dozer, and dirt roller. o Performs routine maintenance on equipment, lubricating, fueling and cleaning. o Snow Removal o Perform other duties as assigned. •
Education and Experience:

REQUIRED
•Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. o
REQUIRED
•Reliable transportation to and from work. o
REQUIRED
•Must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment screening for controlled substances in accordance with DOT regulations. o PREFER•(5) years of experience operating heavy equipment associated construction.
