Job Description
Equip Trucking & Warehousing, LLC is seeking an experienced CDL A Driver / Machinery Rigger/ Heavy equipment operator to join our team. This is NOT a driving-only position. We are a machinery moving and rigging company. In addition to driving, this position requires working alongside our rigging crew to safely load, unload, move, and set industrial machinery and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate has experience driving large tractor-trailers, lowboys, flatbeds, or equipment trailers and is comfortable securing their own loads. Previous machinery rigging experience is strongly preferred; however, we are willing to train an experienced CDL A driver who has the right heavy-equipment background, mechanical ability, and willingness to learn rigging. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers, lowboys, flatbeds, and other company trucks Drive manual-transmission Peterbilt trucks Pull trailers up to 48 feet Properly chain, bind, secure, and inspect your own loads Transport industrial machinery and heavy equipment to and from customer locations Assist with loading and unloading machinery and equipment Work as part of the rigging crew to move, position, and set industrial machinery Operate large-capacity forklifts and other heavy equipment as trained and authorized Use rigging equipment and tools to safely move machinery Inspect trucks, trailers, chains, binders, rigging equipment, and other equipment before use Complete required pre-trip/post-trip inspections and DOT documentation Follow all company safety procedures and applicable
