The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to support daily mill and yard operations while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Why Join Us? Paid Vacation and Holidays Equipment Operator Responsibilities:

Safely operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, forklifts, excavators, and other material handling equipment Load, unload, transport, and organize logs, lumber, and other materials throughout the facility and yard Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks Maintain safe and efficient operation of equipment in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations Assist with yard organization and inventory movement to support production operations Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Work closely with production and yard personnel to maintain workflow efficiency Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial, manufacturing, logging, sawmill, or construction environment preferred Ability to safely operate loaders, forklifts, or other industrial equipment Strong awareness of workplace safety practices Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment inspections Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work in varying weather conditions and outdoor environments Ability to lift, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods as needed Ability to work independently and as part of a team
