Heavy Equipment Operator (Fine Grade)
Location:
Bluffton, SC and surrounding areas
Pay:
$22-$32 per hour starting pay + Generous Overtime + Annual Bonuses Full-Time | Permanent | No Travel | No Per Diem Are you a production-ready fine grade operator who takes pride in precision work? A large, well-established civil sitework contractor in the Charleston area is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators who are ready to grow. This is a permanent, local opportunity with a clear and proven fast track to Foreman for high performers. If you can confidently bring a site to grade and lead by example, we want to talk to you. What You'll Do Fine grade with a dozer to a tenth Operate excavator and bulldozer on active civil site projects Lay storm drain with an excavator Support site development including storm, water, and sewer work Lead production in the field and set the pace for your crew Requirements 2-5 years of seat time on an Excavator 2-5 years of seat time on a Bulldozer Strong civil/sitework experience GPS experience (preferred) Mechanically inclined Ability to fine grade to precise tolerances Comfortable installing storm drain Valid Driver's License Ability to pass background check and drug screen What's In It For You? $22-$32/hour starting pay (based on experience) Generous overtime opportunities Large annual performance bonuses Healthcare benefits available after 30 days 401(k) with 6% company match PTO and sick leave available from the start Clear, time-tested path to Foreman Hourly pay structure (including Superintendents) This company values skilled operators and rewards production, leadership, and loyalty.
