Job Overview Don's Car Crushing is seeking a dependable and experienced Mobile Equipment Operator to join our team at our Holly Hill, SC location. The primary responsibility of this position will be operating front-end loaders in a busy scrap and recycling environment. The ideal candidate will also have experience operating other types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, excavators, and cranes . We are looking for someone who is safety-conscious, reliable, comfortable working around heavy machinery, and capable of operating equipment efficiently in an active industrial environment. Responsibilities Safely operate front-end loaders for daily material handling and yard operations Load, move, sort, and stockpile scrap materials Operate forklifts, excavators, and cranes as needed Load and unload trucks and trailers Maintain awareness of employees, customers, vehicles, and other equipment while operating machinery Perform daily pre-operation inspections of assigned equipment Identify and report equipment damage, mechanical problems, leaks, or other safety concerns Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow company safety procedures and equipment operating policies Assist with general yard duties when needed Work effectively with supervisors and other team members to maintain safe and efficient yard operations Qualifications Previous front-end loader experience is strongly preferred Experience operating forklifts, excavators, and/or cranes is preferred Experience in a scrap yard, recycling facility, construction, logging, material handling, or similar industrial environment is a plus Ability to safely operate heavy equipment around people, vehicles, and other machinery Ability to perform basic equipment inspections Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment Strong attention to safety and surroundings What We're Looking For We're looking for an operator who understands that safety, equipment awareness, and reliability come first . This position is best suited for someone with hands-on heavy-equipment experience who is comfortable working in an active scrap yard environment.
