Heavy Equipment Operator $26-$28/hour DOE | Belle Fourche, SD / Havens Township, WY 57717 554 US Highway 212 StaffMode is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators for Baroid's bentonite mine. This is production earthmoving—overburden, ore, and stockpile work—not a construction-site "run whatever's there" job. Operators who know scrapers and big dozers will be productive on day one. The work Run assigned iron on daily earthmoving: overburden stripping, ore and soil segregation, haul roads, and stockpile work.
Primary fleet:
Cat 627K / 637 scrapers, D9 / D10 dozers, 14M / 140 motor grader, 740 articulated dump trucks.
Alternate path:
Cat D8 dozer and 980 loader in a stockpile setting. Read the cut, keep material segregated, and hit production without tearing up the pit or mixing ore with waste. Pre-shift inspect, grease, check fluids and hydraulics, and report defects before they become downtime. Follow MSHA, site HSE, PPE, and supervisor direction. This is a field/MSHA position. What you need (non-negotiable) High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license and clean MVR. 2 years operating Cat 627/637 scrapers, D9 dozers, and 14/140 grader in a mine setting solid time on Cat D8 dozer and 980 loader in stockpile / production earthmoving. Working knowledge of overburden handling and ore vs. soil segregation. General knowledge of hydraulics and basic earthmoving. Able to take direction, show up, and work 11-hour days Mon-Fri (some Saturdays). Pass pre-employment drug screen, background, and physical as required. No visa sponsorship.
