The Claussen Group is hiring experienced Snow Removal Operators to clear residential and commercial properties throughout the Tri-State area. We're looking for dependable operators who can handle heavy equipment confidently, work safely in winter conditions, and respond when snow hits. Equipment Experience Required This position requires previous experience operating heavy equipment and plow trucks, including payloaders, skid loaders/Bobcats, and fleet trucks equipped with snowplows . Proficiency operating a payloader is required. What You'll Do Operate heavy equipment and plow trucks to clear driveways, parking lots, and other designated areas. Assist with clearing sidewalks and entrances using shovels or snowblowers as needed. Apply salt and other de-icing materials as directed. Protect buildings, vehicles, landscaping, and other customer property during snow removal. Inspect and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles. Communicate with your supervisor and crew to complete assigned routes safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate time records. Schedule — Please Read Before Applying This seasonal, temporary position begins with the first snowfall and generally continues through April. Work is weather dependent, and there are no guaranteed hours . You must be available to respond to snow events at any time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week , including overnight, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Long shifts may be required depending on snowfall and conditions. Required Qualifications Previous heavy equipment and truck-mounted snowplow operating experience. Ability to proficiently and safely operate a payloader. Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening. Reliable transportation and the ability to report promptly when called. Dependability, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to safety. Ability to follow directions, work independently, and communicate with your team. Ability to work outdoors in cold, snowy, and icy conditions and perform physical tasks, including bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 75 pounds as needed.
