2987666450-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Walmart is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support Transportation & Logistics operations. You will safely operate forklifts, yard trucks, loaders, and other material handling equipment to move trailers, pallets, and freight, supporting on time deliveries and inventory accuracy. Responsibilities include daily equipment inspections, adherence to safety and DOT regulations, accurate documentation, and close coordination with drivers and logistics teams. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, yard trucks, loaders, and other heavy equipment to move trailers, pallets, and freight safely. Perform daily pre and post operation inspections and report maintenance needs. Follow OSHA, DOT, and Walmart safety policies to minimize risk and maintain a safe work environment. Load, unload, and stage freight to support on time departures and deliveries. Maintain accurate movement logs, yard checks, and shipment documentation. Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse teams to prioritize moves and resolve issues. Support inventory accuracy through proper placement, stacking, and labeling of freight. Respond to changing business needs, including shift, schedule, or task changes as required. Keep work areas clean and organized, promptly addressing spills, debris, and hazards. Participate in ongoing training to improve equipment skills, safety awareness, and operational efficiency. Required Skills Heavy equipment operation (forklifts, loaders, yard trucks) Safe material handling and load securement Equipment inspection and basic maintenance Knowledge of OSHA and DOT safety regulations Warehouse or yard operations Use of RF scanners/WMSBasic computer and documentation skills Traffic and yard management Reading load sheets and manifests Communication with drivers and logistics teams
