Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator and play a vital role in executing large-scale infrastructure projects. In this position, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks, to facilitate excavation, grading, utility installation, and site development. Your expertise will ensure that construction activities are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, Dozers, to perform excavation, grading, utility work, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment for all team members. Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities using utility locating techniques before excavation begins. Perform construction grading to meet project specifications using appropriate machinery and techniques. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and operational logs. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety standards. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes in a construction setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation. Construction site experience with a focus on utility work, excavation, grading, and general construction activities. Knowledge of construction utility locating techniques to identify underground utilities safely before excavation. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to strict safety protocols in fast-paced environments.
