We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support our surface mining and aggregate production operations in Blum, Texas. This position is ideal for an operator with experience running excavators and wheel loaders in quarry, mining, aggregate, or heavy civil construction environments who takes pride in operating safely, maintaining equipment, and contributing to a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities Safely operate hydraulic excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment. Excavate, load, stockpile, and move aggregate materials according to production requirements. Feed crushers, screening plants, conveyors, and haul trucks. Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and complete equipment checklists. Identify and report maintenance needs to minimize downtime. Maintain safe operating practices and comply with all company safety policies and MSHA regulations. Work collaboratively with supervisors, mechanics, and other team members to meet production goals. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Perform additional duties as assigned to support mining operations. Qualifications Required Minimum two (2) years of experience operating excavators and wheel loaders. Experience working in quarry, mining, aggregate, or heavy earthmoving operations. Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and identify mechanical concerns. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Preferred Current MSHA Certification , or the ability and willingness to obtain certification.
Experience operating:
Dozers Articulated haul trucks Crushers and screening plants Water trucks or support equipment Basic mechanical aptitude and preventive maintenance experience. Physical Requirements Ability to safely enter and exit heavy equipment multiple times throughout the day. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment. Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments while wearing required personal protective equipment.
Pay:
