Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Foreman to oversee commercial and residential construction projects from start to finish. This role will involve operating and coordinating the use of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, skid steers, motor graders, and excavators while making sure the crew stays productive and the work is completed safely and correctly. The Foreman will help plan and oversee daily job-site operations, direct equipment operators and other crew members, keep projects moving according to schedule, and make sure the work meets the project requirements. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on equipment experience, understands construction work, and can confidently lead a crew and manage a job site. Duties Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators,, and other machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist with site preparation tasks like grading, excavation, loading/unloading materials, and moving earth or debris. Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans accurately while adhering to safety protocols. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues promptly and coordinate repairs when necessary. Operate specialized machinery as needed for specific project requirements. Experience Proven construction site experience with heavy equipment operation in a fast-paced environment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with experience operating large vehicles such as dump trucks. Familiarity with operating heavy equipment, excavators, backhoes, front loaders, water trucks, bulldozers is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety procedures specific to construction sites involving heavy machinery. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.
