Corpus Christi, TX 78405 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled heavy equipment operator to join our crew. The following are major skills, abilities and knowledge that are expected from the applicants to be considered for a potential interview. Proven experience in operating a range of heavy equipment such as excavators, motor grader, pneumatic roller, asphalt paver, steel wheel roller, loaders, backhoes, etc. Understanding of construction plans and designs Experience in preparation of the construction site for parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, roads, installation of utilities Ability of maneuver heavy equipment into loading or unloading positions, follow signals from loading crew as needed, check vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned. Inspect machinery daily, prior to beginning of shift Performs routine maintenance of equipment, report any damages or need of repairs to site supervisor Valid drivers license Work closely with site supervisors and team members to meet project goals Follow all safety precautions at all times, adhere to companys safety program, work in a safe and responsible manner with oneself and the well-being of the crew Must have the ability to understand written and verbal instructions is important. He/she must be willing and ready to learn new ways of handling construction tasks and also willing to adhere to plans and directives. Prior experience in the operation of heavy equipment is required Ability to perform other construction site duties as required
Pay:
$20 - $30 (Pay based on experience)
