Job Overview Corvik Civil is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for an upcoming civil/earthwork project. This is a temporary contract position expected to last approximately 3 weeks, depending on project needs and schedule. We need experienced operators who can get on a machine and be productive from day one. This is not an entry-level operator position. Equipment Experience operating the following is needed: Dozers Front-end loaders Rollers/compactors Responsibilities Perform grading, cutting, filling, spreading, and compaction. Operate equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining production. Must be able to operate and maintain grade WITHOUT GPS or machine control. Read grade stakes and understand elevations, slopes, and basic site grading. Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance. Communicate effectively with the foreman and other operators. Maintain equipment and immediately report mechanical issues. Follow all Corvik Civil and jobsite safety requirements. Requirements Previous earthwork, site work, or heavy civil experience required. Proven experience on dozers, loaders, and/or rollers. Must be comfortable working without GPS. Must be dependable and show up on time every day. Must be willing to work extended hours when the project requires it. Must be willing to travel/work away from home if applicable. CDL is a plus but not required. Position Details Contract/temporary position Approximately 3 weeks of work Project duration may change depending on production, weather, and project requirements. Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Per diem paid for qualifying employees while working out of town. Overtime may be available depending on the project schedule. Corvik Civil is looking for operators who know dirt work and can be productive without relying on GPS.
