Craftsmen Contractors is looking to hire an experienced and certified Excavator Operator for Fort Stockton, Texas. The equipment is a 12 - 20 ton Excavator with 3 foot bucket. This is for a long term commercial project. The work schedule is Monday thru Satuday working 10-hour day shifts. National heavy equipment operator certification is preferred, but a local certification will also be accepted. Pay rate is $40 - $45/hr. depending on experience. $65/day per diem with free lodging and food with single room and bath. Weekly pay by direct deposit. We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Excavator Operator to join our construction team. This critical role involves operating heavy-duty excavators to perform excavation, grading, and utility work across various construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in operating excavators and other construction machinery, adhering strictly to safety regulations and maintenance protocols. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the successful completion of projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are maintained throughout all phases of construction.

Responsibilities:

Inspect light and heavy equipment before and after use to ensure they are working properly Utilize excavator for drainage tasks, digging pipe and placing pipe. Load and unload cargo and move them to the appropriate storage area Selecting, fitting and removing attachments such as buckets, scoops, shovel blades, rock breaking hammers, winches and blades. Operate controls to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gouge out, move, load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil and other materials. Working from drawings, markers and verbal instructions. Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary Report needs for larger repairs to Supervisor or Project Manager Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment

Requirements:

Requires excellent communication and coordination skills. Individual must be organized, dedicated and prompt. National heavy equipment operator certification is preferred, but a local certification will also be accepted. 2+ years of experience working with excavator.
