Position Summary:
Reporting to the site Supervisor, the Aerial Ground Hand is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to assist with telecommunications projects with aerial crews. Duties include site preparation, material handling, basic tool operation and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires physical abilities, attention to safety and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must show up on time and be work ready Load, unload, and transport materials, tools and equipment. May operate forklifts, skid steers Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards. Will use hand tools effectively for various tasks. Dig, spread, or level direct and gravel using pick, rake, shovel etc. Assist coworkers in completing their tasks. Assist in mixing and managing drilling fluids to ensure proper flow and borehole stability. Clean and maintain construction equipment and tools so that they are kept in good working order. Must wear required uniforms and PPE at all times. Ad hoc- projects, other duties assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction or related field. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work in a physically demanding role. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Willingness to work in outdoor environments in a variety of weather conditions. Valid driver's license, Class A CDL is preferred with a clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends based on project and business need.
Environmental and Physical Demands:
This position will be exposed to outdoor elements to include but not limited to extreme heat and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, sleet, wind, uneven terrain, road noise and traffic. Will routinely work around heavy equipment and tools with moving mechanical parts. This position requires lifting of materials in excess of 50lbs,

$23.00 - $30.00 per hour
