Heavy Equipment Operator (Dry Plant & Loadout) Pay range = $22 to $28 per hour + $75.00 per diem for each day worked Wallstreet Sand Co. - Kermit, TX Wallstreet Sand Co. is seeking dependable, hardworking Heavy Equipment Operators (HEO) to join our frac sand operations team in Kermit, Texas. We are currently hiring for positions in both our Dry Plant and Loadout departments. These are physically demanding positions in a fast-paced industrial environment. The work is performed outdoors in the Permian Basin desert and requires individuals who are comfortable working long hours in heat, dust, wind, and changing weather conditions while maintaining a strong focus on safety and production. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic who take pride in reliability, accountability, and working as part of a team. Candidates with backgrounds in frac sand, mining, construction, agriculture, ranching, oilfield, trucking, heavy labor, or other outdoor industrial environments are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities :
Operating loaders, skid steers, offroad forklifts, and other heavy equipment used in sand processing operations Feeding the dry plant and maintaining material flow through dryers, screens, and conveyors Monitoring plant conditions and supporting production operations Assisting maintenance personnel with inspections and minor repairs Performing housekeeping and maintaining safe working conditions throughout the plant Working in elevated temperatures, dusty conditions, and physically demanding environments Safely operate heavy equipment within site and manufacturer guidelines Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks Report mechanical issues and safety concerns promptly Follow all MSHA regulations and company safety policies Complete required shift reports and operational paperwork Maintain clean and organized work areas Support plant housekeeping and operational reliability efforts Heavy Equipment Operators are expected to work safely, maintain strong attendance, support production goals, and contribute to overall plant cleanliness and operational efficiency. Heavy equipment operators in frac sand facilities perform equipment inspections, operate loaders and support equipment, handle materials, and help maintain safe and efficient plant operations in a mining-style environment. Requirements Heavy equipment operating experience (loaders, skid steers, etc.) required for Equipment Operator positions Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended shifts Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather and industrial conditions Ability to work a 14/7 rotating schedule including days and nights Strong attendance, reliability, and safety mindset Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment Preferred Qualifications Previous frac sand plant, mining, aggregate, oilfield, construction, agricultural, or ranching experience MSHA training or willingness to obtain certification Mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with basic equipment maintenance Experience working long hours outdoors in physically demanding roles Experience operating front end loaders in high-volume production environments (equipment operators) Experience loading hoppers, bins, crushers, or similar feed systems while maintaining consistent material flow (equipment operators) Ability to safely operate heavy equipment in close quarters around conveyors, structures, trucks, and other operating equipment (equipment operators) Experience working in environments requiring precise equipment control and strong situational awareness (equipment operators)
