Job Summary:
Operates heavy equipment, including backhoes, to assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of water lines and related infrastructure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Safely operate backhoe and other heavy equipment. Excavate trenches for water line installation and repairs. Load and transport materials. Assist with water system repairs and construction projects. Follow safety procedures and district policies. Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
Preferred Experience:
1+ year experience operating heavy equipment preferred. Knowledge of underground utility work is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Valid Driver's License. 1+ year experience preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials when required. Compensation will be discussed during the interview.
