In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes. This role supports site preparation, excavation, grading, and other construction activities while ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites Perform tasks such as excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance (fueling, lubrication, cleaning) Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns Follow site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors Maintain a clean and organized work area Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies Work collaboratively with crew members, supervisors, and subcontractors

Qualifications:

Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment Knowledge of construction practices and job site safety standards Ability to read and interpret site plans and grade stakes (preferred) OSHA certification (preferred) Strong attention to detail and situational awareness

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to sit, stand, and operate equipment for extended periods Lift and carry up to 50 lbs when needed

Work Environment:

Construction sites with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery May require early mornings, weekends, or overtime depending on project demands

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
