Chipper Operator

Woodville Pellets is a pellet manufacturing facility in Woodville and a pellet storage terminal in Port Arthur, Texas. Woodville Pellets belongs to Graanul Invest Group that one of the largest pellet producers in the world and the largest in Europe. The group operates in the field of bioenergy and renewable energy production. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Chipper Operator . As a Chipper Operator, you will be expected to work scheduled hours, with extended hours, including holidays, as needed. You will receive 2 weeks' vacation after 1 year of service.

Responsibilities:

• Operate chipper cab
• Off-load logs from incoming tractor-trailers
• Maintain steady flow of logs to chipper
• Change chipper knives
• Maintain a clean working environment

Requirements:

• Must have some chipper operator experience
• Possess the ability to work safely
• Have working knowledge or experience with PPE
• Understand the importance of Preventative work
• Possess the ability to work in inclement weather (with in safe working conditions)
• Possess the ability to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to work alone or in a team environment
• Must be able to work a rotating shift
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Preference:

Knuckle boom & heavy loader experience.
