Excavator Operator

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Excavator Operator and become a vital part of building infrastructure that makes a difference! In this role, you will operate heavy machinery, primarily excavators, to perform a variety of earth-moving tasks on construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling machinery to move earth, materials, and debris. Perform pre-operation inspections on equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use. Assist with site preparation by digging trenches, foundations, and grading surfaces according to project specifications. Coordinate with team members to execute construction tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and daily activities; report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately. Support other heavy equipment operations as needed, including loader operation, dozer work, paving activities, and water truck management. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to promote a secure work environment for yourself and others. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of excavators and other heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling equipment. Proven experience operating heavy equipment on construction sites with a focus on safety and precision. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in operating vehicles like dump trucks or water trucks is preferred. Familiarity with construction processes including paving, grading, excavation, and site preparation. Ability to read technical drawings and understand project specifications related to earthmoving tasks. Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery or similar brands is advantageous.
