This position offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks, on diverse construction sites. We are seeking motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritize safety, and are eager to contribute to impactful infrastructure development. As an Equipment Operator, you will be instrumental in ensuring that construction activities are executed efficiently, safely, and according to all federal and industry safety regulations. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, and Caterpillar machinery to perform excavation, grading, utility installation, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with equipment safety procedures. Perform utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation begins, adhering to construction utility work standards. Follow federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Assist with construction site setup, including site grading and preparation for upcoming phases of the project. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections. Collaborate closely with project managers and other construction personnel to coordinate equipment needs and ensure timely project progress. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, and other related equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on construction machinery. Demonstrated understanding of construction site operations and utility work procedures. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential. Prior experience in construction grading, excavation, or utility installation is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred; ability to perform commercial driving tasks safely across various sites. Knowledge of construction safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and site-specific protocols will set candidates apart.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
