Heavy Equipment Operator/Loader Operator

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Foreman/Supervisor, the loader operator is primarily responsible to operate assigned loader/heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to complete the assigned tasks.
DUTIES:
Inspect, maintain, and operate equipment in a safe and efficient way in order to avoid accidents, undue maintenance and repair work. Feed hoppers, crushing plants, portable plants, stockpile and load trucks in efficient and productive manner. Assists with plant maintenance and operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred 1-2 years of prior experience in operating a loader is required. Must be attentive and committed to safety. Able to follow instructions. Must be able to move at least 50 pounds. Needs to be able to communicate well to receive and follow instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground. May frequently be required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for long periods of time. Needs to be able to communicate well to receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements. Must frequently be able to lift and/or carry 0 - 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. May occasionally lift items over their head.
