Alexandria, VA Job Details Seasonal $50 - $60 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Driver's License Loader operation Skid steer loader Commercial driving Mobile devices Full Job Description We are seeking reliable, highly experienced Snow Removal Equipment Operators to join our team for the upcoming winter season. This is a strictly per-storm, on-call position paying $50+ per hour .You must be available to respond quickly at any time of day or night when a winter storm hits. The ideal candidate has significant experience operating plow pick-up trucks and/or skid-steers in commercial settings, handling heavy snow, ice management, and tight parking lots safely and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities Operate Equipment:
Safely and effectively operate plow pick-up trucks and skid-steers to clear snow from commercial properties, parking lots, and walkways.
On-Call Availability:
Respond promptly to dispatch calls before, during, and after winter weather events (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
Site Safety:
Ensure all assigned areas are cleared completely of snow and hazards, adhering to high safety and quality standards.
Pre-Trip Inspections:
Perform basic fluid and equipment checks on your assigned truck or skid-steer before heading out to a storm shift.
Requirements Proven Experience:
Minimum 1-2 seasons of verifiable experience operating commercial snowplow trucks or skid-steers.
Valid Driver's License:
A clean, valid driver's license is required (especially for plow truck operation).
Reliable Transportation:
You must have a dependable way to get to our shop or dispatch location in Alexandria immediately when called.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to work long shifts in intense, sub-freezing winter weather conditions.
Communication:
