Job Description

Overview William A. Hazel, Inc. , a total site development contractor for over 60 years, is looking for an experienced Excavator Operator in the Dirt Division. This role focuses on mass excavation, grading, and site development. We need operators who can move material efficiently while maintaining quality and site safety.environment. Responsibilities Operate excavators for mass grading, cut/fill operations, and site prep Load trucks, move material, and maintain proper slopes and elevations Work with grade stakes and GPS (if applicable) to achieve design grades Maintain production while working safely around crews and equipment Assist with site cleanup and general earthwork operations Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues Requirements 3+ years of excavator experience in site development or heavy civil work Strong understanding of grading, slopes, and material movement Ability to read grade stakes; GPS experience is a plus Good awareness of surroundings and jobsite safety Dependable, hard-working, and team-focused Flexible to work overtime when needed Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Pay:
$24.00 - $38.00 per hour
