Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Telehandler Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a telescopic forklift—commonly known as a telehandler—to move, lift, and position materials across various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient handling of heavy loads, supporting the timely progress of projects. Responsibilities Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently to lift, move, and place materials at various heights and distances on construction sites. Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment, including checking hydraulics, brakes, controls, and safety features to ensure optimal performance. Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction materials, including concrete mixers, water trucks, dump trucks, and other heavy machinery as needed. Perform routine maintenance on telehandlers and related equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend operational lifespan. Coordinate with site supervisors and other machinery operators to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. Use hand tools and other construction machinery safely for minor repairs or adjustments when necessary. Skills Proven experience operating material handling equipment such as telehandlers, forklifts, dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers. Strong understanding of hydraulics systems and mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance. Knowledge of safety regulations regarding heavy equipment operation and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use. Ability to perform equipment safety procedures diligently and conduct routine inspections before use. Experience with construction site operations including concrete mixing, material handling, and site logistics coordination. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Familiarity with occupational safety standards such as OSHA regulations for heavy equipment operation.
