Solar Water Truck Operator

Water Truck Operator Job Description We are seeking skilled Water Truck Operators to join our team for a variety of solar sites. The role involves primarily performing tasks such as driving water trucks and may assist with other tasks such as: hydroseeding, erosion control, laying down hay, shoveling, raking, and installing gabion basins. Responsibilities Operate water truck on-site. Perform civil and dirtwork construction tasks. Engage in hydroseeding, erosion control, and other landscape activities as needed. Work closely with laborers on-site to complete construction projects. Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, including wearing appropriate PPE at all times. Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to meet production goals. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience operating water truck desired. CDL Class A or B License AND tanker endorsement

REQUIRED.

Experience with other construction equipment is a plus. Possession of third-party certifications for equipment is a plus. Knowledge of safety practices, including OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications Solar industry experience is a plus. Ability to work significant overtime, including weekends when necessary. Strong reliability in attendance and punctuality. Work Environment Work in a dynamic new construction environment on multiple civil closeout sites. Expect to work under various weather conditions, including hot and humid summers. The standard workweek is 50 hours, with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00/5:30 PM, including a lunch break and short morning and afternoon breaks. Safety is a top priority, and appropriate PPE, including hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, reflective vests, and gloves, is mandatory. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Danville, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
