Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and play a vital role in executing construction projects with precision and efficiency! In this energetic position, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery to facilitate site development, material handling, and infrastructure improvements. Your expertise will ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Duties Operate construction machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks to move materials and prepare sites for construction activities. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Handle material transportation using specialized trucks such as water trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks to support various project needs. Assist with site preparation by managing earth-moving tasks, grading, trenching, and material placement with precision. Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during operations to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct inspections of machinery hydraulics, mechanical systems, and hand tools to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational readiness. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use efficiently while adhering to occupational safety regulations and project timelines. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment. Especially excavators and skid steers. Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols, hydraulics systems, equipment maintenance procedures, and occupational safety regulations. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on construction machinery. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude focused on safety and efficiency.
