Heavy Equipment Operator

Description Individuals will be operating equipment on construction sites. They will be required to operate bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, & front end loaders for their grade crew. Individuals must be comfortable working outside the cab as well. These duties will include some of the following:

• Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, and loaders to move earth, debris, and materials.

• Excavation & Grading:

  Use equipment to dig, level, and grade land according to project specifications.

• Site Preparation:

  Clear land, remove obstacles, and ensure proper groundwork for construction.

• Material Handling:

  Load, transport, and distribute materials like dirt, gravel, and rock.

Equipment Maintenance:

Perform daily inspections, minor repairs, and routine maintenance to keep machinery in top condition. • Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment operation
• 2-3+ years experience operating Excavators, Dozers and Front End Loaders
• Must be comfortable occasionally working outside the cab Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00
• $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
