Construction Equipment Operator

Champlain Construction Co., Inc, established in 1955, has long been one of Addison County's largest and longest running construction companies. CCC does the initial site work (commercial or residential) which includes grading, excavation, construction and installation of septic systems and water lines. We also offer turf re-establishment at the end of the project. Included in our scope of work we offer storm system improvements, drainage and culverts. CCC also has its own gravel pit on Route 116 in East Middlebury, which produces many materials for retail sale, municipal use, and client projects. Position:

Equipment operator Champlain Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a full-time equipment operator. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years' experience in excavation/construction. The equipment operator is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize the risk of injury. The equipment may include excavators, trucks, loaders, graders, skid steers, dozers and other equipment along with attachments. Functions Inspect and operate equipment and all attachments Perform daily equipment upkeep tasks and maintenance Ability to set and follow grades Ability to follow and understand directions Perform occasional laborer activities & provide other support as needed Proven ability to excel Team player with a positive attitude Summary Must possess a valid driver's license and an MVR that meets company standards OSHA 10 certification preferred
