Job Description
Job Overview Town of Roxbury, Vermont The Town of Roxbury is looking for a full-time or per diem Employee, the right candidate would be reliable, hardworking, motivated, eager to learn and grow within the Highway Department. What you'll do: Operate and maintain highway equipment (plow trucks, loader, backhoe, grader, roadside mower, etc.) Perform year-round road maintenance Equipment maintenance and repairs Work both independently and part of a small team What we are looking for: Valid drivers license preferably with a Class B CDL or willingness to obtain one within 6 months at the expense of the town Strong work ethic and ability to work in all weather conditions Willing to work overtime during storms and emergencies especially during winter months Mechanical and equipment operation is a plus What we offer: Competitive pay, $22 to $30 an hour based on experience and qualifications Excellent benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, uniforms, boots allowance, life insurance and retirement Year-round work Build valuable skills across public works, including equipment operation and maintenance Work environment: Hands on, outdoor work with varying seasonal demands.
