Job Description

Heavy Equipment Operator NW Construction General Contracting, Inc. is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of private and public works projects, including projects paying applicable prevailing wage rates. The Position Duties may include, but are not limited to: Operating heavy equipment Excavation and trenching Grading and grade checking Loading trucks Demolition Asphalt and concrete removal Pipe laying General sitework and other construction-related duties What We're Looking For Excavator operating experience is required Reliable and dependable Honest with a strong work ethic Able to follow instructions and work well with a crew Safety-minded and aware of surroundings Able to perform physical construction work and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance Experience operating additional equipment is highly desirable, including: Dozer Skid steer Roller Haul truck Vactor truck Sweeper Additional experience with grade checking, pipe laying, and Topcon/Trimble/GPS systems is desirable. CESCL certification and other construction-related certifications are a plus. Pay & Benefits Private wage starting at $27/hour, DOE Prevailing wage paid when working on prevailing wage projects Bi-weekly pay 100% employer-paid employee health insurance after 60 days Life insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid Time Off (PTO) Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Heavy equipment operating experience required Excavator experience required Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and meet background/eligibility requirements for applicable government, school, and other contracted project sites.
