Job Description
Responsibilities Operate a wide range of construction equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks to perform earthmoving, material handling, and site preparation tasks. Drive commercial trucks such as front loader trucks, water trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery to transport materials safely across job sites. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on heavy machinery and construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Follow all equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery or handling materials. Use hand tools and hydraulics systems for minor repairs or adjustments on equipment to minimize downtime. Handle materials efficiently using material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, inspections, maintenance activities, and safety checks in compliance with company policies. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations and occupational safety standards. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance on heavy equipment and understand hydraulics systems. Familiarity with hand tools and construction machinery maintenance procedures. Communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
