Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Recycling Loader Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy equipment and material handling machinery to efficiently manage recyclable materials at our facility. Your efforts will help ensure safe, environmentally compliant recycling operations while supporting our commitment to sustainability and community well-being.
Shift Available:
Monday - Friday (8am - 430pm)
Responsibilities:
Safely drives and manages heavy wheel loader to sort, move, stage, and load scrap metal into trucks and trailers. Handle recyclable materials safely and efficiently while following safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to maintain mechanical integrity and ensure safe operation. Assist in landfill management and solid waste handling processes to optimize recycling efforts. Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing regular cleaning and sanitation tasks. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any safety concerns promptly to management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar machinery. Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Knowledge of recyclable materials handling, landfill management, and solid waste procedure, preferred but not required . Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor environments. Strong attention to detail, safety protocol adherence, and a proactive attitude toward workplace safety. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
