Mainline Excavator Operator

Mainline Excavator Operator Top Tier Grading Company believes in doing the best quality work possible and being extremely efficient. We are equipped with the latest and greatest GPS integrated machines and continue to update and educate our people as new technology is introduced to the industry. We have a highly motivated team, bringing years of experience, from many facets of the construction industry. Our normal scope of work includes; site clearing, mass earth moving, site work, building excavation, basement excavation, and site utilities (water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer). Although most of our projects are commercial, we also do some residential.

Essential Job Functions:

Other duties may be required and assigned. Able to skillfully operate an excavator to install water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer (dozer and skid steer experience are a plus) Deep understanding of installing water main, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer safely, efficiently, and to the standard required by local inspectors. Able to operate excavator in tight spaces and working closely with pipelayer Be able to read, interpret, and execute plans and drawings for utilities and grading Operate TopCon GPS System or have the ability to learn this system Communicate efficiently and effectively with crew members Perform manual labor occasionally (may be required to lift in excess of 50 pounds) Grease equipment and perform fluid level checks Recognize/ Identify various soil classifications Willingness to work with Grading crew within company as needed Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this position: 4+ years Excavator experience installing water main, sanitary sewer, and/or storm sewer Experience working with a grade laser Intermediate computer knowledge High level of self-motivation Attention to detail Valid driver's license Maintain and promote a safe working environment Individual must be flexible, dependable, and effectively communicate with the team Benefits (available after waiting period): Health Insurance 401(k) Dental insurance Life insurance Paid time off Paid Travel Time Vision insurance Weekly Pay Paid Holidays Potential for increased pay with performance Pay is solely based on performance, as this is a merit shop company •Starting Pay is based on experience.
