An Operating Engineer or Heavy Equipment Operator drives and operates heavy equipment used in quarries, construction sites, landfills, refuse and recycling centers, or ports. Heavy Equipment may include, but is not limited to, bulldozers, excavators, paving equipment and pile drivers.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tow Driver with an active Class A CDL license to join our team at Jerry's Towing on a part-time basis. As a towing and recovery operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently towing vehicles, such as personal vehicles, commercial trucks, and buses to various locations. You will need to have a strong understanding of towing equipment and techniques, as well as excellent driving skills. Again, this is a part-time role with flexible hours, let's find a schedule that works for you and our operation.
Responsibilities:
Respond to towing, recovery, and roadside service calls safely and efficiently. Emergency Response Expectations - we operate 24/7/356 and respond to accidents, breakdowns, police calls, recoveries, roadside emergencies, etc. Operate assigned towing and recovery equipment in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations. Safely hook, secure, transport and unload passenger, commercial and heavy-duty vehicles as assigned. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report equipment or safety concerns. Communicate with dispatch, customers, law enforcement, and other emergency personnel as needed. Complete required service documentation, photos, inspection records, and other paperwork accurately. Maintain assigned equipment and keep trucks clean, safe, and ready for service. Work safely in roadside, traffic, weather, and emergency-response environments. Provide professional customer service during stressful or time-sensitive situations.
Requirements:
