Paid time off Health benefits Matching retirement plan Job Summary Olson Landscape Company is seeking an experienced Lead Excavator Operator to join our growing excavation division. This position is responsible for digging foundations, footers, and installing utilities for new home construction projects in and around Morgantown, WV . The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in excavation equipment operation, capable of leading a small crew, and comfortable coordinating with project managers, vendors, and other teams on site. Responsibilities Operate excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks safely and efficiently Excavate for foundations, footers, and utility installation on residential job sites Lead a small crew and ensure work is completed on schedule Communicate and coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors Maintain a clean and safe work environment Troubleshoot issues and adjust to site conditions as needed Requirements Proven experience operating excavation equipment (excavator, skid steer, dump truck) Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) Ability to lead and motivate a small crew Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines Knowledge of safety practices and excavation standards Schedule Full-time Monday to Friday Occasional weekends based on project needs Compensation $28.00 - $35.00 per hour , depending on experience Overtime opportunities available Work Location Multiple job sites around Morgantown, WV If you're a reliable, skilled operator who enjoys working outdoors, leading a crew, and taking pride in quality work, we'd love to hear from you. to join our team!
